Mount Grace Priory
The best-preserved Carthusian monastery in England, with a reconstructed monk's cell and Arts and Crafts gardens.
Stone village at the western edge where two famous walks begin

Osmotherley stands on the western escarpment where the Cleveland Hills drop to the Vale of Mowbray. It is a walkers' village: the Cleveland Way passes through, the Lyke Wake Walk traditionally starts nearby and the Coast to Coast crosses just to the north.
Cod Beck Reservoir is a short walk away, and Mount Grace Priory, the best-preserved Carthusian monastery in England, is just down the hill.
