This site collects as little information as possible.

Contact form

If you use the contact form we store your name, email address, message and the IP address it was sent from so we can reply and filter abuse. Messages are deleted once dealt with.

Email updates

If you sign up for updates we store your email address and the date you subscribed. We use it only to send occasional news about the site and the moors. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, or you can ask us to remove you at any time.

Cookies and analytics

The site sets a session cookie when you submit a form, used only to protect against spam. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics. Maps are loaded from OpenStreetMap and fonts from Google Fonts; those services may see your IP address when the page loads.

Links to attractions, event organisers and other sites are provided for convenience. Their privacy practices are their own.
