π Coast
Robin Hood's Bay beach and fossils
Rock pools, ammonites and the widest scar on the coast at low tide.
Cliff path out along the Cleveland Way, old railway back: the best half-day on the Yorkshire coast.

Head south on the Cleveland Way past Boggle Hole and Stoupe Beck, climbing to Ravenscar with views back across the whole bay. At Ravenscar look for seals below the alum works, then return on the Cinder Track, the trackbed of the Scarborough to Whitby railway, which curves gently back around the bay through woods and fields.
At low tide the outward leg can be done on the beach as far as Boggle Hole, but check the tide tables first.
