The Old Coastguard Station stands right at the bottom of the village where the road meets the sea, and its rooms explain the fossils, the tides, the smuggling and the Coast to Coast walkers who finish here. Free to enter, with a rock pool aquarium and a great view of the bay from the balcony. Bad-weather refuge for anyone caught by the tide.
