Levisham Station to Skelton Tower
A steep climb from the station to a ruined folly with the best view of steam trains in Newton Dale.

Cross the line from the platform and follow the path up through the woods onto Levisham Moor, then along the edge to Skelton Tower, built in 1830 by the Reverend Robert Skelton as a retreat. Time it for a train and watch it curve through the gorge below. Return the same way or continue to Levisham village.
