Saltburn pier and cliff tramway
The last pier on the north-east coast and the oldest water-balanced cliff lift in Britain.
The wildest section of the coast path: Huntcliff, Skinningrove, Boulby and the highest cliff in England.

Climb from Saltburn onto Huntcliff, once a Roman signal station, and follow the cliff edge to Skinningrove's beach and jetty. Beyond, the path climbs over Boulby Cliff, at 203 metres the highest point on England's east coast, and drops to Staithes. Return by the X4 bus.
