Saltburn pier and cliff tramway

Saltburn's pier of 1869 is the only one left in Yorkshire, and the tramway that carries visitors from the town to the seafront has run on water ballast since 1884. Add the Italian Gardens, a miniature railway, surf schools and the start of the Cleveland Way's coastal section, and Saltburn is a good day out or a stop on the way to Staithes.
