Dalby covers 8,500 acres of the southern moors and is the outdoor playground of the National Park. There are mountain bike trails from green family loops to red and black runs, waymarked walks, a Go Ape high ropes course, play areas and picnic sites along the forest drive.
The visitor centre at Low Dalby has a cafe and bike hire. Dalby is also a Dark Sky Discovery Site with an observatory and regular stargazing evenings.
