Boat trips from Whitby

Short harbour cruises, coastal trips beneath the abbey cliffs, sea fishing and whale watching.

Boats leave from the harbourside all summer. Twenty-minute trips run out past the piers and along the cliffs to Saltwick Bay; longer cruises go north to Sandsend and Kettleness. Sea fishing trips go out for mackerel and cod, and in late summer whale-watching boats look for minke whales, porpoises and dolphins off the coast. Look for the boards on Pier Road and the Fish Quay.
