Danby
Esk Valley village with the National Park Centre
Danby is a scattered village in the upper Esk Valley and the home of the Moors National Park Centre, which has exhibitions, a cafe, an art gallery and riverside walks. Danby Beacon above the village has views to the coast and across the moors.
Nearby Castleton, Lealholm and Glaisdale are all on the Esk Valley railway and make a good day of village hopping by train.
