Hole of Horcum and Levisham Moor
A full circuit of the great amphitheatre with views into Newton Dale and a possible steam train below.
The remotest stop on the steam railway, at the bottom of a glacial gorge, with walks in every direction.

Levisham station sits alone in Newton Dale, a mile and a half below the village, with nothing around it but the gorge, the woods and the river. It is the stop for the Hole of Horcum and Levisham Moor, and for the short but steep climb to Skelton Tower, a ruined folly with the best view of the trains. Newton Dale Halt, the next request stop north, is even more remote.
