Hillside lavender farm and gardens in the Howardian Hills with views across to the moors

Yorkshire Lavender is a family farm on a south-facing hillside above Terrington, twenty minutes from Malton and Helmsley, where more than a hundred varieties of lavender are grown in terraced gardens along with a sensory garden, a maze and a small deer park. The lavender is at its best from late June to early August, when the slopes are purple and full of bees, but the gardens, plant nursery and gift shop are open from spring to the start of autumn.
There is a tea room in season, a play area and picnic spots with wide views over the Vale of York to the Hambleton Hills.
