The beaches at Robin Hood's Bay, Runswick Bay, Saltwick and Boggle Hole are all cut off at high tide, so check before you set out. Official predictions:

Robin Hood's Bay, Sandsend and Saltwick follow Whitby within a few minutes. Staithes, Runswick and Saltburn are closer to Redcar. The beach walk from Robin Hood's Bay to Boggle Hole is safe for roughly two hours either side of low water.
