Ryedale Folk Museum
Open-air museum of rescued moorland buildings: cottages, workshops, a chapel and a Victorian shop.
Picture-book village around a green with the Ryedale Folk Museum

Hutton-le-Hole may be the prettiest village in the National Park. Hutton Beck runs through a sloping green crossed by little white bridges, sheep keep the grass short, and the houses are the pale limestone of the moorland edge.
The Ryedale Folk Museum, an open-air collection of rescued buildings including a cruck cottage and a Victorian shop, sits on the main street. Farndale and Rosedale are both close by.
