Sutton Bank and Gormire Lake
The finest view in England, then a descent to a hidden glacial lake and a climb back through the woods.
Yorkshire's hill figure, cut in 1857 and visible from the A1 on a clear day.

The White Horse was cut into the escarpment above Kilburn by the village schoolmaster and his pupils in 1857, and is the largest hill figure in England. It is best seen from a distance, but the walk along the Cleveland Way from Sutton Bank to the top of the horse is easy and level with views the whole way. The village below is home to the Mouseman furniture workshop and visitor centre.
