The Plough Stots are Goathland's longsword dance team, reviving a custom in which farm lads dragged a plough through the village and danced for money after Christmas. The team dances at pubs and houses around the village through the day, with the Old Man and the Betty in attendance. A rare chance to see a moorland tradition that survives nowhere else.
