Sinnington sits on the River Seven where it leaves the moors, with a large green, a tiny packhorse bridge that once crossed a stream since diverted, and a maypole. The riverside walk north into the wooded valley towards Cropton is a favourite, and the Fox and Hounds is well regarded. Just off the A170 between Pickering and Kirkbymoorside.
