Goggles, brass and Victorian tailoring take over the Pavilion for a weekend of markets, music and tea duelling.

Steampunk Weekend runs several times a year in Whitby and is a gentler, more theatrical cousin of Goth Weekend, with a large market, live bands, talks and the sport of tea duelling, in which contestants dunk biscuits and see whose lasts longest. Costumes are spectacular and much photographed.
